Venue Compare

Read: This is the one page that is not a replay — it is the ground before a ball is bowled. A reading is coloured only where the venue clears two tests: more than two standard errors from the league mean, and a gap big enough to plan around. Blue is above the league, orange below. Grey means ranked but not distinguished — either these matches cannot separate it, or the difference is real and too small to act on. Surface readings pool a thousand balls a ground, so they separate easily and need the second test most; scoring rates carry one point per match and often fail the first.

The data behind the table
What each venue's numbers are built on, and what is withheld

Built over the same rolling season window as the venue baselines on the other pages, so a ground reads the same on both. Unlike a replayed match this page is not prior-only — there is no future to leak into a game that has not started. Surface filters mirror those baselines exactly: swing is seam-up pace, bounce is off a 5–9 m length, deviation is every delivery.
